Tattoo Needles – I have a question about tattoo needles?

i know that this might sound stupid but how many needles do they use for tattooing ?? does it depends on the size???

i always have this on my mind how do those needles work ?? it seems like its a long rod with like an extensions of few more toothpick like rod ( sorry for those words but i cant describe it differently) and how do they hold the ink ?? i always though that tattoo needles are just like the ones at the hospital that they are hollow and that inside they hold ink or something

im getting my 1st tattoo this summer im a little concerned about the size as im going to college next year( medical field ) although im not gonna work with people only animals im going for veterinary technology
i want the tattoo to be on my arm ,i have the design its a sun with an ankh inside of it surrounded by sun rays( 3 inches in diameter)
and the other one is a koi with some waves, cherry blossoms and wind( 7 inches by 5 inches)
i cant decide what to get i like both designs and both of them have really special meaning im thinking about getting the smaller one first just cause i dont know how it will feel
also if i would ask the artist just to feel how it will be without using the ink will he or she look at me like am an idiot or something ??

Use different types of needles "paa line, color, shading; lines normal" regardless of the size of the tattoo with a needle, usually made of 3 points, for very fine lines can be used a needle tip and 1 for very thick lines of 5 points.
The fill color in the shadows and often with needles 5 to 12 points depending on the area to tattoo you want and what the tattoo artist.
Tattoo needles can be differently according to what kind of tattoo will be but are not like those used in hospitals, it's steel rods that were released as it is the needle that can be a single needle or multiple and can be arranged in a circle or a row.
In the design I like the koi more, but that is something we have to decide tu.Respecto your profession if you do it in a body part with the tapes clothes you should have no problem.

The needle groups are different sizes and configurations, depending on the effect your artist is trying to achieve. They range from triple tight round threes, to groups like fourteen or eighteen round shaders or thirteen magnum flats, these being the biggest he's likely to use on you. When I get a 'tattoo virgin' in my chair, I usually give them a 'dry run', which is me running a tight group lining needle over the lubricated skin with no ink. Most people go 'Wow, that's not so bad' and are relieved to find out that the pain is quite manageable. Smaller, tighter groups of needles hurt a little more than large groupings. It's a common request, it'll be no problem. Take care.
