Top 3 Tattoo Artists
It’s very hard to say who is the best tattoo artist in the world, like all art it’s subjective and what floats one persons boat another may think is rubbish!
Tattoo artists are unique, skilled, and each has their own personal style. The industy is growing tremendously, as tattoos are becoming even more popular, it did some to go quite for a few years but now there are very much back in the spotlight. Of course lets not forget about the celebrities and the media coverage. Before tattoos were seen as something that only rebels did, but now they are more widely accepted in our society! I probably know just as many people who do have tattoos as don’t.
Top tattoo artists must really master their craft to stay competitive in the market. There are some artists that are able to stand above the rest (you may have seen some on TV) and make profound impressions on their fans.
Like we said it is subjective but our current top 3 tattoo artists are (in no particluar order):Paul Booth, Nick Baxter, and Mike Devries.
Paul Booth
Paul Booth was born in 1968. He began working as an apprentice in 1988 and from this experience he became intrigued with what this new career had to offer. He won several awards and was even on the cover of multiple magazine covers. Booth is know for his artistic style being more on the darker side and he was even nicknamed, the “Master of the Macabre”. Paul takes appointments in his studio “Paul Booth Last Rites Theatre”. There is a bit of a wait but he is well worth it!
Nick Baxter
Nick Baxter was born in 1981 and he began getting tattoos when he was 18 years old. This process greatly influenced him; therefore, he started an apprenticeship shortly after. He is also an artist and loves to paint with oil paints. His style is centered around his paintings and he attempts to make his tattoos very realistic. Nick became recognized because of his beautiful use of colors and exotic large tattoos. Nick currently works as a freelance tattoo artist and of course a superior painter.
Mike Devries
Mike Devries was born in 1979. He loved drawing even at a very young age. He received his first tattoo at 16 years old and from then on he knew that he wanted to be a tattoo artist. He has won award after award, and has many fans and followers. He owns multiple businesses including studios, websites, and stores. Mike is especially known for his realistic animal style tattoos.
We really like all their work, for sure their already strong following is likely to grow as their portfolios continue to expand. What do you think, who’s your personal favourite and why?
